LOS ANGELES – Kazumi unveils its new Kazumi Burger, a culinary partnership with renowned Los Angeles chef and author Alvin Cailan, the mastermind of Chinatown’s trendy Amboy and creator of Eggslut.
“These are different types of sandwiches,” Kazumi told XBIZ exclusively. “I’ve always been obsessed with filling my holes, so this should come as no surprise. And for one day, Monday August 26, I will help everyone else fill their meat with a different kind of meat: the Kazumi burger!”
Cailan is the host of First We Feast’s The Burger Show, which airs on YouTube and Hulu. Kazumi described his Amboy as one of her favorite restaurants in her hometown of Los Angeles.
“And it’s Filipino owned!” she said enthusiastically. “Alvin and I made sure that the ‘Zumi burger is made with Filipino flavors. Knowing that you guys love what’s between my Filipino buns, the meat is sandwiched between two freshly baked Filipino sweet buns, also known as pan de sal. And you know me, I’m a greedy girl and I can’t choose just one type of meat – so you can enjoy roasted pork (lechón) and a traditional beef patty at the same time… with some extra crispy pork skin sprinkled on top! Always known as a creamer, the rolls are slathered with a spicy toyomansi mayo.
“One bite can give you an orgasm, two bites can send you to heaven,” Kazumi added.
The Kazumi Burger is part of a new focus for the creator, influencer and performer, who is now focusing on different types of collaborations – with industries ranging from food to music to fashion.
“It’s the year of the sluts,” declared X3 Magazine’s first cover model. “So come to Amboy!”
Fans of Kazumi and hip food can order tickets here for the Kazumi Burger Event, which will take place on August 26 between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Amboy is located at 727 N Broadway, Unit 117 in Chinatown, Los Angeles.
