Holly Madison opens up about her OnlyFans experience in her new true crime series Lethally Blonde, which she is executive producing for Investigation Discovery.
“I had an OnlyFans page for a couple of years,” the former Playmate says in the first episode of the series. “I think one of the things about OnlyFans that appeals to people is that you’re doing it independently. You can do it your way.”
Madison launched her OnlyFans page in 2020, but it has since been deleted.
At the time, OnlyFans tweeted, “Introducing the beautiful @hollymadison. Sheâs here only for the fans, telling her story and giving you a chance to connect with her.”
Madison says in the docuseries that she never posed nude on OnlyFans, but she did photoshoots wearing bikinis and lingerie. However, Madison faced a demand for more explicit content.
“In the interactions and the DMs, you would always get those regular fans who start saying, ‘Why don’t you do this in the photos?’ or ‘Why don’t you do that?’ I wasn’t going to go there, but I can imagine how, if you feel like you need the money, there could be that pressure to push that boundary,” Madison says.
In a 2022 interview with actor Christy Carlson Romano, Madison said she “liked” OnlyFans but she wasn’t “super enthused” about it, as she was focusing on her podcast and other work. Madison shared that she felt empowered on the platform, “I feel like it’s helping with my confidence a lot and I have all these pictures that I love.”
Regarding profits, Madison called it a “good side hustle,” but she felt she could make more money if she posed nude.
Madison touched on the topic again in Lethally Blonde, saying, “If you’re making full adult videos, you can make a lot more money…”
The first episode âToo Fast Too Furious,” follows the case of OnlyFans performer Courtney Clenney, who was arrested for the stabbing death of her boyfriend Christain Obumseli.
“They were hanging out with all these other creators,” Madison said about Clenny and Obumseli. “There was pressure to keep up, you know, you want to maintain the lifestyle. I can imagine that with the pressure and wanting to keep that money coming in, that might motivate you to make more and more explicit content on OnlyFans.”
Lethally Blonde premieres March 25, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. ET on ID.
