LOS ANGELES – Wicked Pictures has released the debut episode of reigning XBIZ Performer of the Year Seth Gamble’s latest feature film, “Iris.”
The erotic thriller stars Blake Blossom in the title role, along with Emma Hix, Jennifer White, Charles Dera, Dan Damage and Alex Mack.
“’Iris’ is about the psychological unraveling of a young woman,” said a rep. “Early in the debut episode, viewers are introduced to a rideshare driver (Blossom) who, feeling unseen by society, finds himself in the middle of a series of brutal murders. Her passengers, seduced and then murdered, appear to be victims of a vengeful force targeting those who once wronged her and stood by in silence.”
Gamble expanded on the storyline.
“The film asks the question, ‘What would you do if you felt so unseen in your daily life that you literally feel invisible?’” he said. “Is Iris driven by a desire for revenge against a man who once tried to take advantage of her and the uncaring bystanders who allowed it to happen, or is someone or something else killing these unsuspecting passengers? Does her sense of invisibility in society fuel her actions, forcing her to cross boundaries and commit acts that others would never dare consider? That is the question: how far can a person go when he feels unseen?”
The first scene, titled ‘Unforgettable’, features Blossom, White and Dera.
“Blake is an undeniable powerhouse,” Gamble continued. “Her dedication is truly inspiring. She is not acting alone here; she completely embodies the character of Iris. Despite her many accolades, Blake never rests on her laurels and always strives to improve, and the result is truly a career-best performance here in my opinion.
“Jennifer White and Charles Dera are the embodiment of the word ‘professional’. I was very impressed by Charles’ subtlety and depth, which provided a stark contrast to Jennifer’s more volatile character. Their intensity and authenticity made the sex incredibly powerful.”
Blossom added: “Given that it is a project with such strong emotions and attention to detail, it makes sense that this story comes from an industry veteran. It was great to be directed by Seth on this film. I’ve worked with Seth for the past three years and each time I feel like I’ve become a better actor. It’s important to have good communication with your director when you’re playing such an intense role so that you can really get every ounce of juice out of the character. Asking a lot of questions, no matter how small or stupid, really helped me dial in Iris.”
“Unforgettable” is streaming on Wicked.
